Using qualitative surveys and iterative prototyping (alpha, beta, and final versions), the handbook addresses key challenges such as the digitalization and transmission of emotions, social presence, and awareness in online interaction. The development incorporated accessibility requirements, plain language, and consideration of learning difficulties prevalent among the target group. Based on feedback, experience experts rated the handbook excellent and project workers good; the final product supports low-threshold online peer support and the project’s employment and digital inclusion goals.
